周杰伦首部执导电影「不能说的‧秘密」TW票房迅速破2千万，显示「周导」的拍片才华之外，周杰伦今年的事业运也令人称羡，年初开设新潮流服饰店「PHANTAC」后，出名的餐厅「Mr.J义法厨房」又悄悄在吴兴街台北医学大学内开设了分店「Mr.J义法厨房Ⅱ」。
事业版图不断扩张的周杰伦，对于音乐之外投资的副业都极为低调，为了「让朋友有地方聚会」这个理由投资开设的餐厅Mr.J，经媒体曝光后生意兴隆，不但大批国内外歌迷不时慕名而来，爱吃意大利美食的周杰伦也经常到店里用餐，今年父亲节周董也带着爸爸到店里庆祝。在忙着宣传电影「不能说的‧秘密」同时，位于台北医学大学内的Mr.J二馆也低调开幕营业，对于这间分店，周董表示，他是以干股的方式加入，主要出资者是好友咸鱼。
位于台北医学大学内的Mr.JⅡ店，除了校内学生也开放对外营业，店内挑高式空间设计装潢时尚又舒适，Ⅱ店菜单与Ⅰ店略有不同，保有周董喜爱的招牌菜色如明太子意大利面等之外，还设计了多款平价套餐，近日Ⅱ店趁着暑假重新装修厕所，预计9月初再度开张。
问周杰伦这么多副业有没有赚到钱？他表示：「投资这些店，赚不赚钱不是重点，主要是为了帮朋友。」例如与方文山合资设立的「华人版图」，方文山表示，周董曾说这种文化出版事业，赚的钱本来就不多，但它的价值不一样，所以就抱持乐观其成的心态。
相较之下，这次有参与「不能说的‧秘密」拍摄的「黑白键制作」，则难得是周杰伦觉得有需要而成立，这家公司的前身是「杰伦传播」，开设动机源自于周杰伦自身对影像的热爱，今后这家公司将陆续参与电影、MV拍摄制作工作。
