以前知道张伯宏，是在各大网络和电台的歌曲推荐上，听他的《床前明月光》，歌词古典、唯美，曲风充满着东方情调，还有中式R&B曲风。独自在美国学习音乐的经历，让张伯宏把音乐当作自己的信仰。大家可能很难想象，这个18岁的天才少年一手包办了专辑《复生弥撒》中全部的词、曲、唱。尤其专辑主打歌《北京土著》更是在短短两周内便攀上了“音乐风云榜”、“全球华语音乐榜中榜”等多家电台电视台的权威榜单。
在单曲《回收站》中，张伯宏这样唱道，“看左边周杰伦呐，右边李宇春呐，这样的娱乐圈啊，叫我怎么混，我呆呆地听着收音机上播着三天一个新人，如果想要生存就必须有够八卦的新闻。”张伯宏认为，选择音乐，还是选择炒作，这是每一个拥有音乐梦想的人都会遇到的抉择。
“如果真的喜欢音乐，不妨勇敢试试看，如果是为了虚荣，为了出名，为了出风头，就没有必要了。”
从小在国外旅居的经历以及多年来在美国的学习，使得张伯宏能够很好地把握各种音乐元素，他一方面热爱中国的古典文化，同时又把R&B、HIP-POP、NewMetal、Rap等流行元素加入了自己的音乐创作，难怪现场有人拿这个“音乐神童”和R&B天王周杰伦相比较。对此，张伯宏表现得非常谦逊，“音乐是不能相比较的，因为我们有各自的体系，不过我挺喜欢周杰伦，想要超越他太难了，但至少在音乐流传度上，他是我努力的一个目标！”只有18岁的张伯宏打算这两年内再去上学，“今明两年想考中央音乐学院试试，至于将来，因为我是学编曲的，以后可能还要往幕后方面发展。”
